A common issue across all body types is the cracking of the rear bootfloor around the axle carrier, which can be caused by various factors such as material fatigue, corrosion, modifications, and high stress. Our braces connect the rear axle carrier mounts to the vehicle chassis to prevent tearing. We have meticulously ensured compatibility with all five body types of the E46. Additionally, we offer options that maintain the complete interior, including a fully functional rear seat and usable trunk space, ensuring both performance enhancement and practicality.

This reinforcement stabilizes the rear axle position in racing vehicles by securely fixing the axle mount. This is especially crucial for cars used in motorsports. The X-Brace forms a diagonal reinforcement that also secures the axle mount, preventing movement between the underbody and the vehicle struts. The axle itself is connected to the body at four points – two in the front and two in the rear. During hard acceleration, the rear mounting points are subjected to significant stress. The rotational motion of the differential pulls the rear points downwards, while the front points are pushed upwards and forwards. This can lead to cracks in the chassis. This phenomenon is particularly prevalent in race cars where the original bushings are replaced with aluminum or polyurethane bearings. In such cases, the axle mount and the chassis parts between the underbody and struts are the weak points. To prevent chassis cracks, it is advisable to weld reinforcement plates under the axle mount and with the chassis. However, these may not always completely prevent movements and forces between the underbody and struts at the weakest points, as is particularly evident in models like the E46. All our products have been tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and have even contributed to reducing lap times.
